Preparing draft applications from existing records
An application assistant brings existing records — documented session notes, transcripts and selected documents — together into a structured draft application. It does not fill in or submit an application; it creates an editable text that must be reviewed, supplemented and taken responsibility for. The professional decision remains entirely with the psychotherapist.
Why the topic matters
An application asks for information that has long been available — only spread across sessions, notes and records. The effort therefore lies less in the wording than in the gathering. It is exactly this step that can be prepared without touching the responsibility for the content.
How the process works
What an application asks for
It requires organised details about the person, the findings, the planned treatment and its justification. None of these details is new — they already exist, just not in one place.
Where these details are
Spread across session documentation, notes and attached records, created over weeks. The effort lies in the gathering, not in the wording — and that is what makes the step preparable.
What can be prepared
Organising and condensing. A system can assign the existing details to the required sections and form a coherent text from them.
What cannot be delegated
The professional justification and the decision whether the application is submitted in this form. Both require knowledge of the treatment that only the treating person has.

What AI can do here
- Bring together scattered information from documented records.
- Create a structured draft along the required details.
- Provide the draft in editable form instead of claiming a finished text.
- Make the result available for export as a PDF or Word file.
What AI does not do here
It does not take the professional decision and does not finalise the application.
Source: Features page, section “Application assistant”
It makes no diagnosis and does not derive an indication.
Source: Product definition on /en/about
It does not check whether the details are correct and complete in substance.
Source: FAQ “Who is responsible for AI results?”
It does not submit the application and does not communicate with payers.

How Psymira implements the process
Psymira brings this preparation step together in a guided process: selected records feed into an editable draft that the psychotherapist reviews and takes responsibility for. The individual steps are described in the help section.
Data protection and professional control
Only what has been explicitly selected as a source is included. Before AI calls, identifying master data are reduced; pseudonymous codes are used instead of real names. Free text such as notes and transcripts may still contain names — control over this lies with the practice. The export is triggered actively and creates a file that can be reviewed before use.
